FORMATS OF THE COURSE:
Get up-to-date and relevant specifics of launching local and international startups one day of each week of the course. Test the knowledge you acquire immediately: practical tasks and challenges are included in each such seminar. Compare the economic environments of different countries, create business models and develop entrepreneurial skills in a game-like format.
Form a team with students from different countries. Make shared projects and learn the basics of international partnership. Cultural exchange brings fresh business ideas and utilizes popular practices from all over the world for the optimization of both business and life in general. The path to success is easier if you are surrounded by the right people.
Through self-reflection and the revision of your work and mistakes is how you will strive for perfection. You will receive individual tasks to allow you to test yourself in these regards. Obtain advanced and detailed materials on the subject that is of interest to you: international HRM, logistics, business ethics, and many others.

PROGRAM
OF THE COURSE
Book design is the art of incorporating the content, style, format, design, and sequence of the various components of a book into a coherent whole. In the words of Jan Tschichold, "methods and rules upon which it is impossible to improve, have been developed over centuries. To produce perfect books, these rules have to be brought back to life and applied."
Front matter, or preliminaries, is the first section of a book and is usually the smallest section in terms of the number of pages. Each page is counted, but no folio or page number is expressed or printed, on either display pages or blank pages.

Topics of the zero (introductory) lesson

  • A warm-up game (so that they all communicate with each other, answer questions on the topic of the lesson)
  • What kind of global future will we face? The basics of international cooperation.
  • Cases. There are several startups (examples): why is this startup profitable? Why is this startup unprofitable? Find information in the teams (teams are separated by rooms in the zoom-conference)
  • Introduction to the course program/agenda
  • After the 0 lesson, students fill out a test of interests to determine them into teams
    1. "Finding an idea for an international startup"
    The first lesson: "Finding an idea for an international startup"

    • All students are assigned to teams before the lesson according to their interests
    • Topics of the first lesson:
    • You are regional representatives of each other.
    • Description of different options for international cooperation (trade, HR, IT) - search for international ideas (how to find them?)
    • How to search for ideas between various countries? Different techniques
    • Go to a separate Zoom room. Analyze the existing international relations between your countries in your own languages. Share with each other what your cities/countries are famous for. What goods/services could be exported to each other.
    2. "Various models of international cooperation"
    The second workshop: "Various models of international cooperation"

    Topics of the second lesson:
    • Models for building a startup
    • The importance of trusting relationships in the team, identify the strength and weaknesses of the members (stressful interaction)
    Team HT:
    • Debate with other teams
    • Make a presentation of your ideas
    3. "Identification of the target audience for projects"
    The third workshop: "Identification of the target audience for projects".

    Topics of the third lesson:
    • Target audience (fast repetition of the material from the video) + the opportunity to ask questions, structure information about TA
    Home task:
    • Make an approximate assessment of the TA, an approximate characteristic, an analysis of solvency
    4. "Basics of competitive analysis"
    The fourth workshop: "Basics of competitive analysis".

    Topics of the fourth lesson:
    • Competitive analysis
    • Set yourself a challenge/plan for the week (what are you ready for?)

    Team HT:
    • Communicate with companies (stress communication). Draw a conclusion and document your results (video + audio recording)
    5. "Introduction to customer development".
    The fifth workshop: "Introduction to customer development".

    Topics of the fifth lesson:
    • Customer development
    • Challenge yourself: formulate a hypothesis of a value proposition and test it with customers.
    Team HT:
    • Hypothesis test (calls/ surveys in social networks/ survey in shopping centers, etc.)
    • Debate with other teams
    6. "Essential tools and importance of market evaluation"
    The sixth workshop "Essential tools and importance of market evaluation".

    Topics of the sixth lesson:
    • Market evaluation
    • Special tools
    Team HT:
    • Approximate assessment of the market volume, identification of potential partners for development. + watch a video about product strategy and technological readiness
    • Debate with other team
    7. "Effective usage of product placement".
    The seventh workshop "Effective usage of product placement".

    Topics of the seventh lesson:
    • Product strategy/ Product placement

    Team HT:
    • Describe the product strategy
    • Prepare a presentation about the project
    • Debate with other teams

    8. "Preliminary defense of projects"
    8. The eighth workshop "Preliminary defense of projects"

    • Pre training of project defence
    • Extended feedback on projects

    FINAL LESSON
    Final day:
    "The project defense with potential investors"

    Students from different countries develop potential models of international startups throughout the course.
    At the end of the course, students will present their models to experts and investors.
